Bismillahirahmanirahim Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera,
Firstly we would like to express our gratitude and say thank you to everyone who have provided constructive feed backs in our Facebook page. Regardless the feedbacks were negative or positive we at IKATAN would absorb all messages and try to comprehend the sentiments of the Malaysian public. Importantly a lot of people are asking what we stand for as political party. Are we like other political parties? What is our significance in Gagasan Sejahtera (the PAS- IKATAN 3rd Force)? What roles are we bringing up in the next General Election? ….. and many more questions. Some have portrayed us positively and some have stereotyped us in a way that is not so pleasing perceptively. Whatever innuendos that have cropped up we find them in all fairness to be acceptable and ultimately we are to be blamed for not informing our potential electorates who we are. Now we would like to share IKATAN with You!
The drivers of IKATAN are the EXCO’s of the party. They are known as Ahli Dewan Tertinggi (ADT). There are 30 seats in the Dewan Tertinggi. The significance of mentioning these people in IKATAN is because from here the culture of a new party is established or will be established. A culture is built from the environment and beliefs of a community. It is easy to assume that IKATAN like many other political parties consists of ‘experienced’ politicians and thus the culture is nothing new within the Malaysian political landscape. Well we can certainly assure you all that the people in IKATAN are not the same. We are like you, millions of Malaysians who love this country and want to see a better future for our nation. We are like millions of Malaysians who the ‘political masters’ of the country find us irrelevant and the concept of serving the Rakyat is just a rhetorical message in providing relevant cosmetics to speeches of both from the government politicians and from the current heavy weights in the oppositions.
Apart from two people within the EXCO’s of IKATAN, the rest of us are businessmen (non –cronies), Industries Practioners, Professionals and Entrepreneurs and not experienced politicians. Some of us have built our own small businesses for more than 15 years without government aids or political assistance. We were once fence sitters during elections, looking for the right party to fight for the our cause, the Malaysian Rakyat cause in assuring that our economy can be home grown, increased the well- being of the middle class, enhancing the rural economy via agriculture so that millions regardless of race can achieve sustainable income and improve the Malaysian lifestyle in the 21st century. We want corruptions within the government operation sectors to be eradicated. We want one bangsa, which is Bangsa Malaysia. So instead of talking and getting frustrated at the mamak stalls, we have picked ourselves up and be patriotic Malaysians and engaged politically. We found this party IKATAN, which constitution is based on the visions of our founding fathers and the late Tunku Abdul Rahman. Here we manage to put ourselves on track to serve the Rakyat regardless whether we are in government or not in the future.
Friends, not being ex-politicians we feel we can look in a different and positive perspective in order to serve our potential electorates and hopefully one day in the future when most Rakyat Malaysia truly understand our cause we can manage the nation. Frankly speaking most of us are not keen to pursue a career in politics, but with the current political personalities roaming the Malaysian political landscape we feel we need to do something and we hope our friends in Facebook could also come on board and help build a better tomorrow for Malaysia.
Insyallah or God willing we will try to answer and explain many points in relevant to IKATAN’s political initiatives. Please do continue to engage with us. Again thank you.
