On Jan 2015, “Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (IKATAN)” is launched. It is our intention that IKATAN will become a new powerful voice for the people of Malaysia to amplify the ideals of Unity, Justice, Liberty and Prosperity for all. We will endeavor to speak without fear or favor and it is our commitment to unflinchingly stand up and make our voice heard loudly and clearly.
As Malaysians, we have been blessed with a land of natural abundance and unfettered blessings and whilst this has made it possible for Malaysians to live well, we have also seen the unprecedented growth of mega corruption and the blatant abuse of governance that has taken our beloved country to the edge of the economic precipice. It is time for all Malaysians to say together “no more” and to take a strong stand of objection to all that is wrong and unfavorable.
For too long, there has been inaction and quiet acceptance of the situation by the silent majority. Most of us have acquiesce to the ugly hand of abuse in governance not because we are in favor of such wrongs but largely because we have by nature always been tolerant in our acceptance of situations. The time has come to say, “Enough is enough! The time has come for the silent majority to rise up and strongly push for change for the sake of a much better Malaysia for our future generations. We would like to represent this silent majority and become a voice against all that is wrong in Malaysia.
1. Driving a platform of Unity
IKATAN was formed for this purpose and we will do our utmost to be a voice of unity, hope and integrity in all that we undertake. IKATAN will uphold the tenets of justice and equitability and become an uncompromising voice that will reflect the needs and the wishes of the people of Malaysia.
Members of IKATAN are from various background, races, religions and organizations coming together for the common purpose of effecting the desired change for our country.
2. Reflecting the words of BAPA MALAYSIA, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra
BAPA MALAYSIA Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra was crystal clear when he made the following statement in his speech to the nation:
“IF WE REALLY WANT TO COME TOGETHER AS A FAMILY AND LIVE UNDER ONE ROOF CALLED MALAYSIA, WE MUST BE SINCERE WITH ONE
ANOTHER — MALAY, CHINESE, INDIAN, DAYAK, KADAZAN, SIAMESE AND OTHERS — MUSLIM, BUDDHIST, HINDU, CHRISTIAN, ETC.
IF WE ARE SINCERE THEN WE CANNOT SAY ANYTHING THAT WILL HURT ONE ANOTHER. WE CANNOT ALSO DO ANYTHING THAT WILL HURT EACH OTHER. AS SINCERE MEMBERS OF ONE FAMILY WE MUST ALWAYS BE THERE TO HELP ONE ANOTHER. THE RICH MUST HELP THE POOR AND THE SUCCESSFUL MUST HELP THE UNFORTUNATE. ONLY THEN CAN WE BECOME ONE PEOPLE AND A COUNTRY THAT IS UNITED AND STRONG. EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY. ONLY THEN WILL MALAYSIA BE RESPECTED BY THE WORLD”.
3. Making the Spirit of the Constitution of Malaysia inviolable
IKATAN strives to push for a MALAYSIA that is Fair, Progressive and in line with the legacy and vision of BAPA MALAYSIA. The Constitutional Framework of Malaysia must remain that strong foundation for our country and IKATAN will be the voice to continue holding steadfastly to such a foundation.
4. Reiterating the Pledge of Justice and Fairness
If we want to preserve our beautiful country for our future generations, we can no longer wait and hope that everything will be restored by the Government of the day. It is so clear that we cannot continue taking the wrong steps that are in place. The “greed” that is so prevalent and the culture of corruption must definitely be curbed. Racialism and Religion has been used to make people surrender to the status quo of power. IKATAN promises to safeguard the inherent unity of the people of Malaysia and align it back to the time of our forefathers where everybody can live as “BANGSA MALAYSIA”.
5. Moving BANGSA MALAYSIA to become a reality
57 years have passed and we are no closer to the vision of our founding fathers of a “BANGSA MALAYSIA” united in purpose and resolve. It is time that we become Malaysians first and everything else second. It is time for us to be able to call ourselves Malaysians without having to worry about what backgrounds we come from; It is time for us to be able to join hands in sincerity and to raise one common flag in our hearts and in our minds.
We appeal to all Malaysians to work with us to make your voices heard. IKATAN assures every member an unbiased role to make the ideals of true nation-building a reality. Your contribution will add significantly to the momentum of bringing the people of MALAYSIA closer together. Let us carry the spirit of real unity, respect for each other and helping one another to succeed and thrive in a nation that is “BANGSA MALAYSIA”.
6. FLAG-LOGO OF PARTI IKATAN BANGSA MALAYSIA (IKATAN)

7. Vision & Mission Statement of IKATAN
To unite and bring together all Malaysian citizens who are from different races, religion and culture to really become one: as “BANGSA MALAYSIA THAT IS UNITED, FAIR, JUST AND HAPPY”.
This will be through reaffirming, to inculcate and reignite the sense of togetherness and true family spirit that prevailed among all Malaysians during the time of our common struggle for national independence.
This struggle will be based on “AMANAT MERDEKA BAPA MALAYSIA” Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra and based on the letter, and spirit of the Malaysian Constitution.
Arising from this noble ideal, the Vision and Mission of BANGSA MALAYSIA will be “AMANAT MERDEKA BAPA MALAYSIA” which reads as follows:
“IF WE REALLY WANT TO COME TOGETHER AS A FAMILY AND LIVE UNDER ONE ROOF CALLED MALAYSIA, WE MUST BE SINCERE WITH ONE ANOTHER — MALAY, CHINESE, INDIAN, DAYAK, KADAZAN, SIAMESE AND OTHERS — MUSLIM, BUDDHIST, HINDU, CHRISTIAN, ETC.
